Do cell phones cause cancer?

This one has been getting a lot of press of late.

Probably not. They might increase the risk for brain tumors slightly but the research (in either direction) is still thin.
The radiation from cellphones is so-called "non-ionizing" radiation meaning that it does not (even in larger doses) break your molecules apart. The term however includes quite a spectrum of frequencies, some of which are dangerous to the human body. Cellphones (TV, AM/FM radio and cordless phones) broadcast in the lower end of the spectrum and can, in sufficiently large doses, heat body tissue.
It is not known whether this radiation can cause cancer as the research is divided. In the short run most studies indicate no connection, in the medium run1 a possibly slightly raised risk and in the long run, well, cellphones just haven't been around long enough.

A couple of years ago when i was on my cell, I could feel this odd tickling feeling in the ear and it felt like going into my brain.. This surely made me speak less on the cell, but it was only sometimes.. I wonder whether i could actually feel the radiation, or I just thought i could.. well.. Anyone else felt the strange tickling?

Strange tickling. Hmmm...I think, well I am not quite sure...might this be just a little anecdotal? I sense the creeping, tickling feeling of a non-skeptic. I am really not sure though...because I AM skeptical of feelings. – Awalmo Feb 28 at 11:47
Actually, sure, yes I do feel that. I'm pretty certain that it's not the radiation, because I get the same feeling when I hold anything (a book; my hand as I facepalm after reading this answer) close to my forehead. I have often wondered what this is, in fact, I might ask about it here... – Mark Z. Mar 4 at 7:24
Down vote for being an anecdote and a poor one at that. Please be constructive and make a positive contribution to the Exchange. – Bonobo Mar 6 at 19:20
