Scientists can now describe in great detail how HIV infection occurs and causes AIDS</p> </blockquote> http://www.skepticexchange.org/questions/51/is-house-of-numbers-an-aids-denialist-film/222#222 Answer by scarlet_35 for Is "House of Numbers" an AIDS denialist film? scarlet_35 2009-12-26T13:57:14Z 2009-12-26T13:57:14Z <p>I'm not going to search to find out if I'm wrong, I'm just going to share what I understand about HIV and Aids.</p> <p>You can contract HIV from an Aids person through exchange of body fluids, you can easily go 10 years with having HIV and no sign of Aids, your chances increase that you will get Aids but doesn't necessarily mean you will, you could be a carrier.</p> <p>Hiv is generally how it starts? (this part I am unsure of) First you get HIV and then you could get Aids, but it would never be a case where you have Aids that turns into Hiv. The only way to get Hiv is from another person with Hiv or a person who has Aids.</p> <p>You can not catch HIV or AIDS from talking to, shaking hands, or being around a person who has it, so unless you plan to suck their blood you're safe :)</p>
